Prepaid meter installation drama
I registered to have a prepaid meter installed. I paid for everything on the 31st of July 2023. I had to sit and wait for the meter to be installed. On the 1st September it was installed but never registered. The men who work on site handling the installation put my meter on mode that cannot count the units because the guys at the K49 office who are Venda refused to register the meter box. September went by. City of Joburg continued to charge me on a post paid method. I stay alone and my geyser and stove plugs are off. I boil the water for bathing with a boiler. City of Joburg charged me 4000 rand for the month of September. During the week I am not home. So how come I am billed this much. The prepaid Meter installed is still not registered. On Wednesday 27 September I went again to K49 office and Ntate Busang ordered that the installed prepaid meter has to be removed and the old postpaid method meter to be reinstalled again because they register the prepaid meter they gave me it would seem like their office is responsible for the *****ing of electricity units. The reinstall of the old postpaid method meter box hasn't happened. Apparently some team has to take responsibility in installing the prepaid meter. The registration of the prepaid meter was done at Booysens office at city of Joburg. I need a prepaid meter that works and fast. Who is responsible for providing a proper prepaid meter box for people in Lenasia South. Guys I am dying financially that's why I registered for the prepaid meter. When will I have a proper registered prepaid meter that will allow me to buy units. Can this be sorted. ***
