Pathetic Management, Service and Billing from City Power

We are a community hall that has now been without power for close to 2 months.

Despite numerous queries during the course of the year on billing errors where we were being billed for a Cell Phone Tower that is situated on the corner of the property which receives a separate source of power, the supply was eventually cut anyway.

City power refused to assist the Cell company with correcting the error and fix the billing as they are not the registered owner of the property. After many attempts, we finally had the cell company pay to the owner and then paid City Power what was outstanding and the power was restored.

Unfortunately, the power to the hall has also been interrupted and we have now spent over a week trying to get City Power to come out to investigate why we have no power. I have logged faults 5 separate times and City Power keeps closing the fault tickets without actually going to the site as they believe the power was restored. Yes, to the tower, not the hall ???

I have even spoken to a supervisor who said he was dealing with it and we have heard nothing since. Who else can we turn to ?

Who gives them the right to close the fault report without actually dealing with it ? We have numerous community based organisations using the hall for they own projects on every day of the week, who are having to turn people away due to lack of power - for 2 months ???

This is affecting hundreds of people.... Truely Pathetic Service, Management & Billing from City Power.
