Oh we mixed up the phases!

<p>After having our cables ****** 7 times in the last year we welcomed the fact that City Power had decided to change the cables to a '***** free' installation. The problem is that they hired a sub-contractor - Maziya General Services - to do the installation. They came, changed the cables and went live on Monday. More like dead on the coldest day of the year. Since then Shengwedzi Rd, Emmarentia Ext 1 has had a combination of no power are half power. Why? Probably because the genius who hired Maziya omitted the fact that the houses in the street have 3 phase power. A strange omission as they installed smart meters in the area in the previous year.</p> <p>The outcome of this idiocy is that when we phone Maziya the answer is that it is a phase problem. Yes the problem is that they were not told it was a 3 phase street. Who suffers with this lack of service delivery? Once again the rate payers of this world class African city.</p> <p>We wait with bated breath for City Power to sort out their mess.</p>
