No power over Festive period in Foresthill

Been without electricity since early hours of Christmas Eve. Reported on same day. Was the only house out at the time but were told we were part of a wider outage. This wider outage was fixed but not ours. We went to city power office to be met with no help, nobody in the offices. Spoke to various councillors who escalated. 2 city power electricians arrived just before 5pm on 30th December 2025 to say they could not touch it due to unauthorised connections and were promised action first thing on 31 December 2025. We were all getting shocked due to reverse surges and were disconnected completely. As suspected, no show and now we are on day 9 with no power and generator not strong enough to keep freezer at full capacity and the food is spoiled and lost approximately R3500 meat and are R3000 in petrol to keep generator running. It seems no one cares, they have had power over the festive period. They are not bothered by the one house that is out and left the site of the unauthorised connections open for anyone to be electrocuted. Shame on you City Power.
