Electricity cut without any warning - meter reader had no access to the property
A week before I travelled overseas, someone from City Power came to read my electricity meter. However, on 26/04/2019, the second week of my being overseas, the electricity supply to my house was cut. The meter reader left a letter dated 26/04/2019 at my front gate to say the electricity had been disconnected because he/she did not have access to the property. No warning, no nothing - the electricity supply was just disconnected. When I got to hear of this, I managed to get friends to go to City Power's Reuven office but it still took two days before the electricity was re-connected. Needless to say - after 7 days of no electricity - all the meat in the freezer went off. On my return I immediately contacted City Power about the situation but I have still not heard a word from them. So I'd just like to know: how can City Power just cut your electricity because the meter reader has no access to your property...?
