City Power simply removed my pre-paid meter without any notification

Sold my house. Went by yesterday to hand over the keys to the new owner, only to discover that City Power has removed the pre-paid meter from the electrical box outside. Apparently the reason is "non vending". The house was not occupied so no electricity was being used.

I have not been credited for my ~280 units still on my meter.

Now the new owner has to go to a walk-in center to arrange for a meter.

This is laughable, disappointing, and plan silly. I paid for that meter installation and it should stay put.

I did not receive any notification about this removal. No phone call, no SMS, no e-mail.
