City Power - a Disgrace

I emailed this to the Manager of the Rooderpoort Branch on Tuesday afternoon. He sent an email to a colleague of his asking that they assist on Wednesday morning, who sent another email to another colleague asking them to assist. Today is Thursday evening and still, my issue below HAS NOT BEEN Resolved.

This is the state of our Electricity department and the amount of care and compassion they have for their clients. Its so disgusting it should be *******. You get paid to do a job - JUST FREAKING DO IT!!!!!

I purchase electricity on my banking app on Friday the 1st November, please see attached. I also redeemed my free units which were credited with no problem.

When my son put the voucher into our meter, nothing happened and we were not credited with the units. He called me and I punched in the voucher again, but the meter said token used.

I called City Power and logged a call – Reference CP*** – The technician called me on Saturday and asked me what the issue was, which I explained to him. He told me he cannot assist and I need to go into the office. I got messages from City Power stating that the technician had come to my premises and had resolved the issue and that the ticket was closed.

I was away on Monday and Tuesday, so called City Power again on Wednesday and asked them to please assist. I was assigned a new ticket – Reference CP***. I told my son that a technician should be coming past the house and he must let me know. He called me on Thursday to say that a technician came to the house, sat in his vehicle outside our gate and hooted. He went out and the technician asked what the issue was, to which he explained the issue to him. The technician then told him he cannot assist and I need to go to the office and he left. The ticket was closed and marked as resolved.

I then went to City Power Rooderpoort on Friday and spoke to a gentleman who checked my meter and called one of the technicians, Vincent (Shorty) to come and advise. I was there for over an hour and eventually Vincent said to the gent helping me that he would follow me to my house as he would need to check the meter to see that the units were in fact not credited. I left and went home and waited for Vincent. 15 minutes later a different technician arrived and he came into the house. He informed me that he was the same technician that came to the house on Thursday. Anyway he checked the meter and confirmed that what I was saying was the truth and called Vincent from my house and informed him that the units were in fact not credited to my meter. He also tried to input them but it said – token used. Vincent told him to tell me he would come past my house on Monday to swop out my meter and sort out the units.

Yesterday I messaged Vincent and reminded him to please come past my house to assist – he did not reply. I then called him and he confirmed he would be going past my house in the afternoon. I got home after 6pm and there was no one that had come past.

I then logged a call on line and explained the past 10 days saga and I received another ticket – Reference CPWEB***. I received a call from a technician at 08h00 this morning and once again had to go through the explanation of what I was waiting for. He then said he will call Vincent to find out what is going on and will call me back. He called me back 5 minutes later and confirmed that Vincent was on his way to my house. The ticket was closed as resolved.

It is now 16h35 and NO one has been past my house. I cannot understand how this service is acceptable. I have R2000.00 electricity that I have purchased and have not been credited with and do not have any spare money to keep loading electricity, whilst waiting for City Power to come and sort this issue
