Wrong Party Being Billed

<p>I was involved in an accident in May, where a bakkie skipped the robot and cut in front of me. I was so shaken that my cell phone and other personal belongings was kept safe by a colleague. The only call I made was to my insurance within minutes of the incident. Now I'm being billed for a rescue pumper by City of Tshwane, for which I never requested any services, never made use of their services (the other party did) and I never provided my personal details and am frightened at the thought that they've somehow managed to obtain my residential address. Upon the ambulance's arrival, I sat in the ambulance and only spoke to the people who assisted right after the accident, the toe truck people and the medical personnel. I never called, spoke to, or identified any City of Tshwane personnel on the scene and was only notified that the other party had a passenger that was stuck. That's it. City of Tshwane has not provided any details of the event, except that "details were collected on scene" (which is false information) and would probably not even be able to recognize me as they never spoke to me. They responded to emails sent from my insurance who are helping me with this mess, saying that they'll respond via post. The letter came via post and is a letter of demand, for which I'mnow also being billed. This is absolute nonsense. I refuse to be held liable for someone else's bill and will not pay this bill. </p>
