UNREASONABLE WATER AND ELECTRICITY BILLINGS IN TSHWANE BY COT

I have currently being billed a lot of money that i do not understand. We have escalated the matter to COT around December and to this date no one has ever bothered to respond to our emails even after numerous follow-ups. We used to pay +- R1000 and now our bill is +-R16 K. when we asked for explanation we were told that COT changed out meters without our consent and the new ones are runs with a high speed which results in high charges. I do not have a problem with yearly increases in whatever charges. However, we should not charged ridiculous monies just so that they ***** AND EAT THESE MONIES - ******* ADMINISTRATION AT COT. I need explanation as to how come my rent will go from R800 to ridiculous thousands of rands on a monthly basis like i am running a business. How do they calculate and base these increases? Should they not be linked to inflation? I mean as it, people are loosing their jobs, there r no increases for many of us this year. now, where does COT expect us to get this money from?

Can we please explanation of how these rates are calculated. Even if we submit our readings , there is still no much difference. These people/politicians cannot EAT the municipality monies and expect us to pay for their *******ion. we want/demand a reasonable increase into these rates.
