Tshwane Drivers Licence Dpt Not Answering Customer Calls

I have been waiting for my drivers licence for 10 weeks due to the strike that occurred. I was told to phone the City of Tshwane Municipality to check whether it is ready or not. Every time I phone them, either no one answers, or the phone gets put down, or when I do get through I can clearly hear people on the other side who are seemingly just ignoring my call. It takes them 2 minutes to tell me whether my drivers is ready or not, and yet it seems to me that they can’t even be bothered to help. It takes me 1 hour to get to the centre where I renewed my license, and since I am a working woman I cannot afford to give up 2 hours of my work day just to go and check if my license is ready. It’s ridiculous to me that I can’t get hold of anyone and take one minute of their time to ask a simple question. It saddens me that there’s no one in this department can do such a (simple) job properly.
