TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT ARE OUT OF ORDER

I am writing to issue a complaint regarding of traffic light that are out of order at Graarfontein and summit road just after N1 onramp. I’m a pedestrian and it scares me that I have to cross a road that has 4 lanes, it’s a boulevard and cars are normally on a high speed on that road. This traffic lights have been out of order for 2 weeks and were fixed during that 2 weeks the were traffic controllers from Outsurance and they only lasted for 2 days meaning 12 days no one was controlling the traffic. The robots were fixed and working for about a week. And today they are out of order again to make the matters worse I was almost hit by a car and this is the 2nd time NO ONE IS CONTROLLING THE TRAFFIC. Can you please fix these traffic light I’m too young to die or be paralysed by something that could have been avoided. I don’t if you awaiting for us to be hit by vehicles or a major fatal vehicle accidents to occur.

At Atterbury road after N1 on ramp the first traffic light just opposites Menlyn shopping mall those traffic lights they open for us pedestrian for 15 2 seconds and for cars 5 minutes. This is a 8 lane street it’s a boulevard meaning it takes me 10 minutes to cross that road I have to wait 5 minutes on each side since I cross that entire road in 15 seconds. This is not conducive to me as its wasting my time and I feel that as a pedestrian I’m not taken in to consideration. I don’t if it’s possible that you can build a bridge on both roads for our safety.

I’m a taxi payer and a citizen I rights can you please respect them as much as I respect you. THIS IS DISAPPOINTING THAT WE HAVE A NEW PARTY IN PLACE BUT NO CHANGE THINGS ARE STILL THE SAME IF NOT WORSE.
