The state of Hendrik Verwoerd drive in Centurion

The state of Hendrik Verwoerd drive from Fouriesburg street up to the Old Johannesburg road needs attention. This road, in my opinion, is in a horrible state at the moment and has tree major problems. 1. The roundabout at Fourieburg and Hendrik Verwoerd is a sore eye and a safety risk. The Arm-co barriers were taken down by taxi drivers and now allows ******* access to these streets what should not be. I have taken this up with various DA counselors without any success. 2. The ******* trading between Theuns van Niekerk and Willem Botha creates a total mess. I also causes vehicles to stop which effect the already dangerous and congested traffic on Hendrik Verwoerd. 3. This is maybe the main complaint. Every day, especially in the mornings, the traffic on Hendrik Verwoerd is chaos. At a certain stage the traffic backs up from Old Johannesburg rd to Rooihuiskraal road. This is due to bad traffic light management. The cycle at Hendrik Verwoerd and Old JHB road is to short not allowing enough vehicles through at a time in Hendrik Verwoerd road. Doing a decent study of all the traffic light cycles and synchronization will go a long way of relieving the congestion on this road.
