Smart Meter Bill of R 264 000 Rand, 3 days to pay.

The Company I work for was issued with a Smart Meter in Oct of 2014. It did not work until July 2015. Our normal City Council Bill was + - R25 000 per month Including Rates & taxes. So I paid R10 000 - R20 000 monthly to the Smart Meter Account without receiving a bill. Last week we were presented with an arrears bill for R264 000 and given 3 days to pay. We did not have the money, we were disconnected and the factory came to a standstill. People were laid off and I still can not get an answer as to how we owe so much. We had no choice but to pay the bill and now we are in serious cash flow crisis. Our bill per month in now - R 30 0000 + rates and taxes of of R10 000. How has this Smart Meter been of help to us. I am sure there are others in the same position.
