R140 000 account received from Tshwane
Initially my account from COT was for approximately R140 000.<br> With my initial enquiry I was told that the amount is based on the fact that COT did not charge me enough for electricity for the last 3 to 5 years.<br> No one could give me the calculations as how the amount was calculated, the meter number on my account did not match the meter as installed in the box situated on the street corner. We received no explanation other than it must have been replaced at some stage.<br> After engaging the services of a Lawyer an apparent audit was done on the account and we received the attached accounts, with no explanation.<br> Our power was cut without any prior notice on 14/05/2015. My lawyer spoke to a Ms Malatje from COT who undertook to have the service reconnected as there is a dispute with the account.<br> I have been paying my account every month, with NO missed or late payments.<br> Since the service have not been reconnected yet, I have resigned myself with paying the outstanding amount only to encounter further problems.<br> My husband was retrenched 04/05/2015, leaving me as the sole provider.<br> I went to the office in Akasia ( Francois) to try to arrange payments, only to be told that in order f
