****** at Groenkloof Nature Reserve, Pretoria

My 9 year old son and I were ****** while on one of the hiking trails at Groenkloof Nature Reserve. This was after I specifically asked if it was safe to walk and was informed that it was. There was no senior management present that day (apparently they don't work on the weekend) and despite filling out a report, no one from the Reserve has even bothered to contact me to find out how we are or update us on whether any of our goods were found. We lost a lot of possessions and money and the experience was obviously traumatic for my son, but thankfully we were not hurt. However, the outcome could have been worse and the Reserve and Municipality clearly need to do a MUCH better job in managing this reserve, instead of being complacent about putting the lives of their customers at risk.
