Miscellaneous charges.

This is my correspondence with Tshwane via email, i even went to the offices in Centurion to plead my case. I am currently selling my property and need to get a clear clearance certificate from Tshwane, but they are holding me to fees that is not my responsibility. I have paid my arrears amount that an ******* tenant ran up while occupying my house. How can i get this resolved? See my correspondence below. Good day Mbengeni.

I was at your offices last week Thursday and Friday, I am the gentleman that rode from Nelspruit to come and try sort out my account with you. Please see attached the following. 1. Proof of payment, R 22 573-69. This is for my arrears amount on municipal charges. 2. Afidavit, that I made at Lyttelton police station on Thursday stating my case. 3. Email correspondence to Zachariah in January 2019, regarding our issue at our property. 4. Reference numbers of calls that we logged with Tshwane. 5. Housing tribunal ruling regarding the ******* tenant that we had staying in our property, we got him out in March 2019. 6. Photos attached of the meters.

I plead with you to understand my situation and understand that we are not at fault. After looking at everything last week I have come to this conclusion. On the 5th of August Tshwane went out to disconnect my property, and instead they disconnected our Neighbours. On the 6th of August they went back and re connected our neighbours and disconnected our power. Please take note that there has been no body staying in the house since end of March 2019, please look at my electricity records it will prove my statement. We requested a disconnection in January 2019, I am not sure if this was done? Also see attached reference numbers of calls that we had logged with Tshwane raising our concern about the property at 5 Herron Crescent.

I therefore feel that we stay responsible for the arrears amount on the bill” that was incurred by the ******* tenant” and I have paid that see attached POP. But I strongly feel that we are not liable for the miscellaneous charges of R23 798-92. I will however pay a reconnection fee. Please understand that I am in the process of selling the property and would like to resolve this ASAP. Can you please assist in reverting these costs.
