Ga-Rankuwa Zone 5 ext Streetlights switch on 24 hours a day

Thobela and Good afternoon,

We as the community of Zone 5 ext commend the great efforts municipal workers have done over the past few days in restoring the faulty street lights back in our community.

However what is of great concern to us members of the community is that these streetlights do not switch off in broad daylight, meaning they will not last as long as they should. A tragic example is the high mask GA 11 in the veld, the bulbs were recently installed and it used to switch off during the day until one morning it never switched off now only 2 bulbs remain working.

Our request is for technical personnel to restore these lights normal operational hours. Simply to switch on during the night and turn off during the day as Eskom pleads with us to use electricity sparingly. We live mo skweng we need these streetlights to work as long as possible.
