Escalation to the Ombudsman Governing the TSHWANE Municipality

Please note that we have received a letter of a Final Demand Regarding our Municipal Rates.

We would like to express our very deepest disappointment with regards to your services, as we have always kept up to date with regard to our expense, in this case the Municipal Rates, up till the time YOU had confused our account stating we were in arrears with another address in Pretoria west, which you as Tshwane Municipal is held accountable for a property we did not live in, We have made payments of R1 100.00 rands In the Month of October, thus leaving us with a balance of around R1 500.00 which we will of course make payment by all means if we are in arrears.

My concern is that if you continue referring to the below emails, you will find that there is numerous request for a “Waste Bin Application” We had app**** for In June (4 months ago) and had not received our waste bin accordingly, and with disgust of the services you are rendering, you have the audacity to send a Letter of Final Demand to our Post box informing us of the arrears we are in because of the confusion that Tshwane made on my statement with regard to the wrong address implicating arrears originally.

We have been paying for Rates all these years and have taken our my own waste to Private entities to have disbursed off. Yet I request for my WASTE BIN and instead of rendering the services that we pay on a monthly base we receive a letter rather very quick when we are in arrears. We have witnessed individuals that have arrears of 60 and 70 k (R60 000 – R70 000) rands worth of rates owing, and we get harassed when we are in a month’s arrears for Tshwane who had confused the accounts with another address.

We had to even take personal time off to go to Pretoria town and query this and rectify the account as you have contact details that either not in service or redundant when we try calling as you can be waiting on the call for HOURS and no one will even attend.

I refused to be muscled around by *********** people and entities that cannot take responsibility with regards to their pathetic services they provide.

We will make a payment to bring the account up to date. I EXPECT MY WASTE BIN TO BE DELIVERED.
