Electricity Tokens challenge with City of Tshwane

On 28 May 2024 I called City of Tshwane to report an issue where I could not load some prepaid tokens as I was getting error message “old” and got reference no: 462/13. Two technicians were sent to the residence to come assist with no luck & in both incidences promised to escalate, but nothing happened. Sent email with rude replies & ultimately on 03 July 2024 I went to offices at Princess Park & was attended to by a very rude white man who was indicated to be the supervisor & said there is nothing that could be done. Amongst my grope is that even themselves & nowhere does COT say how long are tokens valid for use. One token was bought in December 2023 & one in April 2024. To date there has been zero follow up from COT & the matter is still standing. Though the government of DA “praises” itself of clean governance, I have experienced none of that. 1. There is proper complaints procedure & resolution process. 2. Nowhere either on websites or on electricity token slips is it mentioned as to how long are tokens valid for use. 3. My tokens clearly shows “not used” on the COT system, yet I am told I cannot be assisted. 4. How many poor innocent people is COT doing this to where erroneous tokens are expected to be forfeited & not replaced.
