COT bills with adjustment can cause a person to commit suicide. You have a budget of R1500 - 2000 per month. You think you are doing well paying regualarly. Then you get a bill and realize S**T they have not been doing meter readings since last year and now there is this calculated adjustment. Now you sitting with a bill that is three times the amount.

Our salaries do not increase at the rate at which fuel, food, school fees, interest rate/rent increases. It is no wonder why they are in huge deficits because people should i say the average to poor person are struggling to prioritize and pay the day to day living costs. How can i pay over R1000 for electricity that lights the fridge, tv, geyser (which is off majority of the time) and lights in the house. It makes me wonder that the electricity is so high that we did not even get a discount for all the days we had no electricity. THIS IS ****************! ITS UNFAIR AND UNJUST! WE MAY AS WELL LIVE IN THE DARK AGES ALREADY. That's why some people owe 38000 and just dont pay but still they get services or drown ourselves in credit. WE NEED JESUS ALREADY HUMANS ARE DESTROYING US
