Dear Hello Peter Hope you can assist me regarding my problem We stay in danville. Since we stayed year our Water and lights account never exceed R3000. I have all my accounts from Last year June 2020. R2300 - R2800 per month. End of February 2021 they removed the electricity meter that was inside the yard to oudside on the paving. Mid March I received an account of +- R40.00. In April the 6 i received an account of R39000.00 and on the 8th April i received an account of R36000.00. Since then my account is one big mess. When i went to the head office in town they told me the contractors who installed the meter didnt register the meter. They come cut off the electricity i went back to town. Just past 7 they switch it back on again. I got another final account i have to pay R10000.00. They will give me credit. i never received the credit and my account is again R4000.00. We are only 2 peopel staying in the house. My hours is from 05:00 to 18:00 my husband from 07:30 to 18:00 so we are never really at home. i am working at a pre-primary school with 13 teachers and 90 kidz and our account at the school is around R4500 per month! So how is this possible for my account to be suddenly so high. I phoned city of Tshwane alot of time. Put in complians no feedback. I ask them if the can sent some to come and have a look at the meter and there answer was i need to Pay R900 for an inspector to come and check the meter please i need assistance. thanks *** lynette botha
