Cable theft

At 0100 on 28 July 2015 my electricity went out due to cable theft. The electricity department informed me that I would need a case number from the police before they could attend to the matter. The police informed me that they could not provide me with a case number as the cable theft has been on the muncipal side of the electricity meter. It sure looks like I will never have an electrical supply at this property again as the two departments like to pass the buck. Welcome to the new South Africa.
