Water services cut to the property

<p>Water services to my property was disconected on 01.05.2017. the account is in arrears as my brother stayed in the house and passed away in January 2017. I went to the Municipaluty on 10.05.2017 and was advices that half of the outstanding amount was required before the water supply would be connected. on 23.05.2017 a total of R15625.00 was paid and i would make arrangements to pay the remaining balance of R15620.00 off. However went i went to the offices to show proof of payment so the water supply could be connected. I was told that i would have to optain a Letter of Athority from the Master of the Supreme Court as the Water account was on my brothers name.</p> <p>Tha Master of the Court required documentation which i had to request from the divorce courts as well as Home Affairs. I got the Letter of Authority and went bank to the Municipality on the 1 JUne 2017. I signed admission of the debt and that i would be paying the R15620.00 off.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was assured that the water would be connected within 72 hours from the 01.06.2017. I called the Municipality on the 04.06.2017 and was told that the connection would be transferred to the supervisor. but also assured that the water would be conected within another 72 hours. I called again on on 07.06.2017, to inform them that the water still had not been conected. and agin on the 09.06.2017 to no avail still no running water on the property. This morning 12.06.2017 and again i am assured that it will be connected in 72 hours. please please can i have some responce as to how long 72 hours are. There is a family staying in the property with 2 young children. Is water and sanitaion not a right for some people</p>
