PROMPT SERVICE
On the 10 Sept 2026 I called 112 for assistance with regards to an urgent need to a Ambulance JHB. I was then transferred to the center and the lady took all the details, thinking that because the address is in Eldorado Park they will just say they dispatching them and never arrived. I was then given a ref no:101624. A few minutes later I received a call to inform me that the Ambulance is on their way and their Reg is A0191 which is visible on the ambulance, is was stunned. It took the about one and half hours between me calling and them arriving. My brother was then taken to Baragwaneth Hospital because he was having seagoers. I just want to thank the dispatch operator and the ambulance staff who assist so promptly. Very grateful and keep up the good JOB WEE NEED MORE DEDICATED PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELFS.

Ciry of joburg /eskom - can fix power issues - 5 days and counting
Power in Helderkruin view has been off for 5 days Most residents log calls - then the just close the tickets or send a reply issue resolved How can a business not solve the probelm when the actual area state continiuously that the power is off - this is unacceptable - they claim they do not have enough manpower, the situation is dangerous - shocking they hide behind messages rather than sorting and walking the mile for customers who is paying their bills every month

City of Johannesburg Water
We requested a new water meter on 27 May 2026, ref no CSDSRV*** for our property in Dainfern Golf Estate, to date nothing has been done. Numerous calls, emails etc however we receive an estimate for water bill which is astronomical. The promises of it being replaced within 3 days, thereafter excuses that they don't have new meters etc and the bill keeps adding up

COJ REFUND DEPT REGION C PASSING CREDITS NON EXISTANT - SERVICE SHOCKING AND UNACCEPTABLE ***
COJ -REFUND DEPT COMPLAINT REGION C : *** *** INO JNF GONCALVES - NO REFUND OR FEEDBACK VIA CALLCENTRE OR EMAIL. I have been waiting for a refund which was approved by COJ on 6 June 2026 and when I called COJ CALL CENTRE regarding the refund on the following dates and times this is the response I have received with no progress: 1. 22-6-2 Called COJ call centre and Spoke to call agent Kgopopse at 12:31 who advised that the refund was approved on the 11-6-2026 and it would take 14 working days to process then to check again on the 3-7-26 for the refund. 2. 7-7-26 Called COJ call centre at t 9:54am spoke to Khamo who advised that they escalated it to a manager as to why the refund has not been processed and to check by next week wednesday 15-7-26 as to the progress. 3. 23-7-26 Called COJ call centre at 11:32am spoke to Wandile who advised that nothing was referred to management escalation process and therefore was escalating the matter to 4 managers from the call centre and to call on 3-8-26 to follow up. I have tried to follow up with the call centre but nobody is picking up the phones to follow up on the progress. 4. 24-7-26 An email was sent to Region C advising of the frustration experienced to follow up regarding this refund processing into the attorney's account ****s Van Heerden as yet Region C has not responded to the email. 5. 11-8-26 Called COJ call centre at 11:09am spoke to Zuzile and asked her if I could speak to the manager as I require feedback regarding feedback from the Refund department as to when the credit will be processed. The manager Unathi spoke to me and advised that she sent a follow up email to the refund department regarding the refund and that the credit payments are made on a Tuesday and Thursday and to follow up again with the call centre the following week. 6. 13-8-26 Called CoJ again at 10:41 and was advised by Thato there was no feedback from the Refund Department and just to keep on following up every Tuesday and Thursday to see if the credit has been passed. 7. 26-8-26 Called COJ again at 10:38 spoke to Aiden and asked that a Manager call me back as I keep on being told to follow up on Tuesdays and Thursdays as the credit run is passed on those days, yet Refund Department has not provided feedback on the systems as to a response to manager's emails or when the credit will be passed. I insisted that a manager should call me. Rifilwe the supervisor/manager called me back at 11:06 to advise that the Refund department has not responded or annotated anything on the system as to the refund and that she has also escalated the matter again to Refund Department advising them that the matter has been escalated 3 times to their department from a escalation process. I then asked how to go about complaining regarding the Refund Department's lack of correspondence and not advising when the credit would be passed. I have also emailed COJ Ombudsman on Friday 29-8-26 and have yet to receive a response. Can this refund be processed and credited to Attorney's Trust account as a matter of urgency and email me on date that it will be passed so I can follow up with attorneys to transfer to my account. This service is totally unacceptable and no response from COJ Ombudsman just shows lack of service from COJ. Please contact me via email as I require all correspondence to be in writing. Charged Full Electricity Rates on a PHYSICALLY DISCONNECTED Meter
The City of Johannesburg and City Power have pushed us for long enough. You physically disconnected our property’s electricity supply, yet you have the audacity to send us monthly statements charging us full price for power we cannot physically use. When I went to your offices to query this, your staff gave the ridiculous excuse that you are billing on "estimates." What on earth are you estimating on a line YOU cut off? To make matters worse, you installed our meter high on a pole outside our property where it is completely unreachable, but then demand we provide "evidence" and self-reads to dispute your bogus numbers. I went to apply for an in-house monitor and was sent on a useless goose chase between CoJ Randburg Offfice and City Power, only for City Power to tell me there’s no stock and that the unit wouldn't even work anyway. It is completely inhumane to disconnect a customer and then continuously charge them for non-existent electricity.

I am very disappointed in City Of Johannesburg Municipality
I would like to express my deep concern regarding the prolonged power outage affecting our area. Ward 11, 17, 18, and 19 appear to have only one contractor attending to all reported faults. Is this correct? If so, this is clearly inadequate given the number of residents being affected. Our electricity supply went off on 12 August 2026. The fault was reported to our Ward Councillor, who kindly logged a service request on our behalf. The reference number is CPWEB***. To date, our electricity has still not been restored. This situation has had serious consequences for my family. My mother relies on medication that must be kept refrigerated. Due to the extended power outage, the medication spoiled and she was unable to use it. As a result, her health was placed at significant risk, and she nearly lapsed into a coma. Furthermore, we are currently in the middle of winter. Babies, pensioners, and other vulnerable residents have been unable to bathe with warm water or maintain basic levels of comfort and hygiene because of the lack of electricity. We understand that faults can occur, but the length of time it has taken to resolve this issue is unacceptable. We urgently request that this matter be escalated and that immediate action be taken to restore power to our area. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Yolanda Franks Reference Number: CPWEB*** Date Reported: 12 August 2026
