Water outages for days

I am a homeowner in Gauteng around riverside, I have send a request for jhb water to come and fix the meter as it was showing battery low and I didn't have any water supply to my house, I was told the turnaround time was 24 hours but when I call and ask since the turnaround time was almost over I was told that the turn around time does not work, what work is work capacity and if they have too much work capacity they can only come when they are done with other sites and they can not tell me when exactly, I spoke to two different consultants who told me they will escalate the matter but nothing was done still since I am still out of water till now, i can't bath, I can't use toilet, I find this unprofessional and disrespectful as my house is only 1 year old, and they should know the life span on their batteries and do maintenance before we experience such a problem, when I asked them they told me they can only change batteries when a customer complain, they can't do a maintenance check the battery doesn't report to them when is finished and is not even rechargeable. It is quite frustrating to try live with out water
