Useless Fire brigade

<p>The one night I called up emergency services, because the open field next to where we live was on fire and heading our way. (Having tried almost a dosen numbers, because all of the numbers get connected "while you wait for assistance") We are not the only house on the property, and there is pets as well. After hours and hours of struggling to get through to the people at dispatch, I get a very helpful/friendly lady. After hanging up, we had to start putting the fire out ourselves, because nobody was showing up. I called again, and a bravo male screamed and cursed at me and told me off because I have the nerve to call again after hours of no one showing. Well... Looong story short, we are still waiting for the fire department to show. (fyi, it's been a few months now)</p> <p>Just sad to see members of the community that pay tax being ignored so blatant. We almost lost our entire lives worth of valuebles. Luckily we all managed to "control" the fire and keep it at bay. If the wind shifted just a little bit, we would have had to evacuate. And shocking to hear how incredibly rude the emergency staff is.</p>
