Service Delivery

I would like to raise a complaint against the City of Johannesburg Municipality - who have enforced the cutting of essential services such as water for accounts that are in arrears for houses, but no threats or attempts were made for people living in council flats. All the houses in our road received notices for the cutting of our water - but no threats were made to the people living in the block of flats opposite me - who do not pay electricity, rent or water. I am also a struggling parent, who finds it difficult to put food on the table at night, even though I work and pay my monthly taxes. I find it discriminatory that the City of Johannesburg would pick on homeowners only and not tackle the thousands of tenants who live in Council flats for free in Newclare, Westbury, Eldoradopark and other areas. Are we supposed to be subsiding the Council properties as well. These people have there debts written off ever so often. I wasn't even given the opportunity to make an arrangement, because of the fact I am working, even thought my debts exceed my income. I would like to see action been taken against Council flat tenants as well - stop bullying home-owners!!
