Old meter: BXDB731 We requested Jhb water to change this meter as it was below the soil and couldn’t be found. It was replaced 16 July 2021. The last actual reading on this meter was 22/06/21 and the average reading at that stage per day was 1.686kl. Meter reading was 9671.000. As stated the new meter was installed 16 July 2021. However we were charged estimated amounts all through to 07/01/2022. Then we got an account on 10/02/22 telling us the actual reading on this meter that was removed 6 months ago was now 9919.000 248kl. This is obviously quite impossible as it was only 24 days running. New Meter: *** This meter was installed on 16 July 2021. Start reading 371.000. In February they woke up and realized this meter is in. This month they were reversing and re-invoicing like crazy. I struggled to find the amounts that was credited. Then in April they decided to re-invoice from reading 371.000 to 514.000.(this they already did in February: 371.000 to 406.068) Also they only showed that we had this meter from 19/11/2021. The amounts we did pay for 6 months on the old meter is completely disregarded in doing the calculations. Also, now all of a sudden according to these people my average consumption moved to 4.248kl.
