Just keep paying and we'll look the other way!!!! SHAME ON YOU CITY OF JHB

I am in the process of selling my property. On receipt of my advance payment wrt rates clearance figures R19 000.00 odd thousand rand later, I am now being sent bulls for further payments for November2020. When I called the City of JHB yesterday the agent told me that I needed to continue paying my monthly invoices as well. I would like to know who has this kinda money to do this and also since when is the expectation that you pay the City of JHB for the rates and taxes when selling a house and then still continue to pay month on month thereafter. After speaking to my lawyers I have been told that this is not correct and this is not how the process works and none of their clients have ever been asked to do this so why am I being asked to do this!!!!! Shame on you City of JHB
