The City of Johannesburg has a new "It's about You" marketing notice on their website. I find it funny just because it is misleading.

Let me explain. I sold my property in Atholl on the 22nd of August 2017 (transfer date) and since then I have been trying to get the Johannesburg City Council to change my account to the new owner.

The rates account was transferred but not the refuse account. The matter has been escalated and escalated and escalated...and every single time there is an escalation there is a correspondent waiting period of so many "working" days...and so it has been since the 22nd of August 2017.

Every time I visit their offices on Daisy Street in Sandton the system is offline or the office no longer opens at 8:00 am, it will only open at 9:00 because they are in a meeting. I have been there 4 times in one single wee****

And the call center does not know more than I do: nothing in fact.

So the saga continues...

It's about you???? No, it is not. This is just another nice slogan to let us believe they care. But in fact they DO NOT CARE about the same citizens that pay up their salaries to devise these curious slogans and useless websites.
