My name is Ms Nompumelelo Shabangu i was employed by City of Jhb Em's in 2007 working as a firefighter EMT at Diepkloof fire Station,i was ***ually harrased by one of the firefighter i was working with.I've never reported the matter cause he threatened me told me he has people in high places so i kept it to my self up until 2020.He became a manager and was acting as a Station commander in my station.

He was harrasing me on daily basis and he was forcing me to go and on his shift so that after his acting as Station commander finished ill work with him,i refused and decided to to report him to his senior of which she was a woman thinking she will understand my situation,but unfortunately i didn't know that im reporting to his girlfriend at that time who is now his wife.

I was admitted in hospital for severe depression while i was in hospital they closed my salary i came back and they made a case against me internally but never given a chance to even sit on hearings which led to my dismissal,i was dismissed on 5th of December 2023 with an email,then i worked the whole of December till the 4th of January they served me with that Dismissal.

The i appealed they kept on postponing that appeal until it sorted on 14th March 2024 but i received the outcome on the 16th April,the appeal it has a date of the 9th April 2024,the sorted with it for a week knowing the outcome doesn't favor me ,I've been failed by SAMWU and EMS,just because they protecting the Director and her husband,im a single mother im starving with my kids and my mother is sick due to all this,4months without a Salary its really hard on me I've lost everything..I really need help regarding all this..my contact numbers ‪***‬.
