City of Johannesburg, not a world class city at all.

City of Johannesburg employees at Jorissen street all say different things showing their lack of team work or lack of the city hiring competent employees. One made me go to Pretoria to get an Executor letter to change the account from my now dead step father to my still living mother. It took 3 months to get that stupid letter and quite a bit of money traveling there and back. Today I got the letter finally and now they sent me away again saying I didn’t need to get that letter!!! Not only that they said some excuse that they moving their database as it’s their financial year end and I must come back after the 15th of this month as they can not help with anything. As I was leaving the staff were laughing at me for some reason. If the city doesn’t get new younger willing to work employees this city is going to keep on degrading and the vision of having a world class city will never happen. There is no service delivery at all. They lazy and full of attitude for what I don’t understand. Don’t we pay? Are you bankrupt? Why charge a pensioner R14k water and lights?(now paid) then they add R4k(this month) for electricity which apparently a 60 year old lady used(which never happened). My mother isn’t even getting pensioner rate and is always overcharged. From my calculations over a two year period, the city actually owes her R10k as we’ve overpaid. Can we just get one thing right as a city? We as the people no longer believe in these ****** ripping of the elderly constantly! I dream of a beautiful South Africa I can be proud of but with these self entitled useless workers we not going to get there. I’m embarrassed to leave this country as the South African flag is nothing to be proud of. Nelson Mandela died for nothing. I’m sure he’d be turning in his grave to see the state of our people. And watch: the city won’t even respond to this review. They don’t care. I’m sure they would if everybody stopped paying their bills for the next year and force them to depend as they will eventually go bankrupt without their citizens supporting their initiatives.
