Charged Full Electricity Rates on a PHYSICALLY DISCONNECTED Meter

The City of Johannesburg and City Power have pushed us for long enough. You physically disconnected our property’s electricity supply, yet you have the audacity to send us monthly statements charging us full price for power we cannot physically use. When I went to your offices to query this, your staff gave the ridiculous excuse that you are billing on "estimates." What on earth are you estimating on a line YOU cut off?

To make matters worse, you installed our meter high on a pole outside our property where it is completely unreachable, but then demand we provide "evidence" and self-reads to dispute your bogus numbers. I went to apply for an in-house monitor and was sent on a useless goose chase between CoJ Randburg Offfice and City Power, only for City Power to tell me there’s no stock and that the unit wouldn't even work anyway.

It is completely inhumane to disconnect a customer and then continuously charge them for non-existent electricity.
