BAD SERVICE

On the 9 th June 2017 I visited City Power to make part payment and to arrange an agreement on a amount of R2738.00 ,only to find that their system was down.

I paid my part payment and visited City Power again on the 12 June 2017 Monday.

I was waiting my turn for almost one hour until my number D568 was called by a male consultant at Counter 11 (Legal). As I Approached the consultant ,I reached out to shake his hand and greeted him.He refused to greet or acknowledge me .His rep**** to me was, “If this was the the Receiver of Revenue, you would be coming running to my counter”.

Why a reply like that???????I was so shocked at his reply and said to myself the moment my number was called ,I got up immediately.

He was so arrogant and I proceeded to explain my situation that I am unemployed and would like to make arrangements to settle the balance .He outrightly refused for me to make any arrangements

and I was told that I have to pay the balance now.If I don’t,my meters will be removed.

I was treated utterly disrespectful by this person whom we as owners are paying his salary. He showed no respect or emphathy with my situation and wonder how many people are treated in this manner. How could the council employ any such person and have him deal with public?.

I had to borrow money from family members to pay the balance outstanding .City Power employees need to know that they are paid a salary and provide excellent service at all times no matter the situation. They can not think that they are above the law and say or do anything they think is right.
