5days with out electricity

To whom it may concern

We have been without power since friday morning 14/05 8:00am. We stay in Lys ave Roodepoort, Discovery.

1story we got is that something at the substation was faulty. Then on saturday apparetly a 3rd party as they were digging a hole. ****aged the water pype which caused the water to burn the electrical cable.

Yesterday (Monday 17/05) we were told the areas were going to be supp**** with generators as the entire cable needs to be replaced,which will take a few days. Some of the streets received their generators. The following streets are still without electircity: LYS AVE HONEYBALL STRUBEN WALKER AND PARTS OF GILDEA STR.

Both my sister in law and I work at a hospital were we work in the covid ward. Were we cannot even when we get home take a hot shower to get rid of the covid. And we cannot wash our uniforms aswell. We all have children in the areas afected. All we are asking for is that this can be resolved as soon as possible. As this is a big problem. We have lost so many food which got rotten.

There is so much stories going around. Then we get a generator and then there is a different storie. Which they say we are not getting one. Please can we have clarity to what is going on.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ASSIST US.
