My dissatisfied experience with the electricity dept of cape town municipality

28 Aug 2025, 21:11On the 9 August I report a faulty streetlight at 11 Schreiner Street, Monte Vista. Muncipal ref *** refers. The case was closed the next day as it was said the light is repaired.
I followed up on this and to my surprise found the light still out of order. Off at times, flashing now and then and when on the light is very low. Clearly still faulty and nor repaired.
Fridsy 22 Aug 2025 - I disputed the repairs and log a further request for repairs ref. # ***.
Tuesday 26 Aug 2025 - A gentleman from Electric Dept, on phone # *** contact me informing me the case are vlosed ss the light hss now been fixed.
The same evening I to my surprise again found the work were never done!! The streetlight is still flashing, at times it is completely off and when on the brghtnes is poor.
Shall I give up on this matter??. How poor can the Municipality artisans be. They cant even fix a streetlight.
