His Worship the Mayor of Cape Town makes promises he KNOWS HE CANNOT KEEP!!!

During November 2024 I discovered a LEAKING SEWER LINE ON A PUBLIC ROAD. Purely as a responsible concerned citizen of the City of Cape Town I lodged a complaint with the said City.

I.t.o Council Policy I was if formed, “Please note that we will respond to you within 7 working days”. “If your request is not answered or query is NOT RESOLVED within the stipulated time frame,….” Today, MORE THAN 100 DAYS LATER,…… ”Hier is ek weer ‘met my rooi rok voor jou deur, Mnr Die Burgermeester”. My request today is, “Put your money where your mouth is. Get into that CA 1 flashy car of yours and VISIT THE SITE so that you can see FIRST HAND how your *********** staff are dealing with my complaint please? This in lieu of sending one of your qualified but *********** officials who will end-up asking ME whether the matter has been resolved. The said SEWER LEAK has NOT BEEN REPAIRED. In fact, my complaint has been TREATED WITH CONTEMPT. This, too, I have REPEADLY brought to your attention. I am beginning to wonder whether Malema will not be able to DO A BETTER JOB of ‘running the City of Cape Town into the ground’ than you are. THIS CITY IS NOT WORKING FOR ME – and you can take that to any bank (Well, maybe not to Albaraka). Mnr Burgermeester, ek verstout myself vandag om hierdie rapport te maak maar ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!
