Pathetic Service

Our sewer at 6 Altona Grove Woodstock 7925 has been blocked since sunday the 7th May 2023, I was given reference *** that was assigned and closed without any of the city of capn towns personal coming to unblock the main drain in the road, I calledd again Monday and was given reference *** and again today reference *** which was also closed.

All the call center is telling me someone has been out but the damn drains is still overflowing.

No one from the city came out to unblock the main drain which is infront of no2 Altona grove woodstock 7925.

This drain is blocked and it's caused for our drain in the yard to overflow with **** and urine our yard is smelling like a Sewage.

I can't believe the poor service I have received for the past 3 days closing a request and stipulating it has been attended to when in fact it has not been resolved nor was your technician out to work on the request.

The City’s Water and Sanitation maintenance team responded to this service request on 8 May 2023.  The blockage was caused by foreign objects in the sewer system. Generally, the majority of blockages across the city are caused by waste items such as rags, litter, fats/ oils, sanitary ware, rubble, nappies and tyres that get into the sewer network. 
 
The depot received two notifications on 7 May 2023 for this incident. The one notification was referred to the other because it was for the same incident. The maintentance team had worked at the entrance of 6 Altona Grove, Woodstock. This service request was attended by the maintenance team within the Service Level Agreement (SLA). 
 
The allegation that the maintenance team was not there is therefore incorrect.  It is possible that the drain blocked again due to the number of foreign objects that are being disposed of in the sewer system. See the attached photos that were captured by the maintenance team when they conducted work at the site on Monday. 
 
The reference number created today will be used to dispatch a mainentance team to clear the latest blockage.
