PERMANENTLY STREET LIGHTS ON

I have been busy since the end of December 2023 trying to get my complaint attended to, but I am getting nowhere. My issue is our street lights that are PERMANENTLY on in Lansdowne Cape Town.

This problem is NOT new, but has been going on for more than 2 years if not longer, and applies to some other areas as well. Ratepayers and citizens are paying for unnecessary expenditure. I am certain it runs into 1000s’ of Rands.

I have done numerous Email correspondence to: *** and ***. This has not accomplished anything I even got hold of our local councilor who messaged me that it was due to cable theft. What a lot of garbage.

1stly cable theft is mainly done at night. 2ndly Why are some streets lights OFF and others ON? Nothing has been done about it. I am sure other parties have also brought this up BUT got the same treatment.
