City Of Cape Town Electric department ***** from people, be aware

On 18/07/2022 They came to replace my pre paid box and told me extra charges of R8000 must be paid because we broke the box, we bought the house with the box as is, but they ask for proof that we bought it so... never the less, this R8000 they deduct 50% each month from the prepaid electricity when we top up. now 2 years later we still pay off this amount, an no one can give us a statement, not returning calls and emails. now The city of cape town ***** from us, as we are still paying for something that was paid up already. Maybe this is something for the lawyers now. I'm tired !!!!!!
