Cherry Tiggo 4 Pro - Gearbox manufacturing fault and terrible after sales service.
Purchased my Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in Jan 2022, experienced Gearbox issues August 2024. Vehicle went in for Warranty claim, a sensor was replaced and a few weeks later received my car back. On 19 June 2025 the Gearbox light and Maintenance Warning light came on and vehicle went into limp mode, took it in again under Warranty on June 26. A month later and they are still struggling to submit claims, Chery Umhlanga has not been keeping me updated without me phoning, messaging, emailing or prompting for an update. Additionally, I've not received a courtesy vehicle all the while I'm still paying for a new car. I've logged complaints with Chery SA, Chery Cares and directly to the Chery complaints dept, yet NO feedback or update. The Dealer Principle at Chery Umhlanga has not even so much as acknowledged my mails, messages or calls. Absolutely terrible and no care about a vehicle that has been in for the same manufacturing fault twice. Again they are only going to replace a part on the vehicle and not thinking of the bigger issue, that something is wrong with the gearbox, despite hords of other Tiggo's going in for the same issue and not being fixed after parts replacement. If I'd known what I know now, I would never have bought a Chery, too many manufacturing faults, not as fuel efficient as advertised at all and technically not that cheap. Terrible after sales service despite the 10 year warranty.
