UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
Let me start by saying that I love my vehicle. I purchased it in Century City in 2025 and have been very happy with it overall. However, after a service in December at the Claremont branch, a tail light bulb needed to be replaced. At the time, this didn’t seem like a major issue, but afterward the left tail light stopped working completely. The advisor assisting me asked me to bring the vehicle back, but the earliest appointment available was three months later, in March. I accepted this, but received no communication in the meantime. Two weeks before the scheduled appointment, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I visited the Claremont dealership again. I was told I would receive confirmation via email, but no communication was sent. Despite this, I went in on the agreed March appointment date. After inspection, I was informed that the entire tail light unit needed to be replaced and that a warranty claim would have to be submitted before ordering the necessary parts. Once again, I received no follow-up communication. Towards the end of March, I began experiencing issues with my battery. My vehicle failed to start on multiple occasions, leaving me stranded while alone. I returned to the Claremont dealership, but they were initially reluctant to inspect the vehicle, stating that the battery was showing as fine. After some back and forth, the car was briefly checked and I was again told the battery was fine, with no further tests conducted. I was sent away, but later that same day the vehicle failed to start again. I ultimately had to replace the battery myself. Despite all of this, I have still not received any communication or updates from the dealership and we are in the middle of MAY. Chery Claremont SA branch manager has no people/customer service skills as he is not even trying to help and resolve the matter.
