Sold a Faulty Car From Chery Sa - Cape Town Branch

I bought my Chery in May 2024, and from the very first month, it’s been nothing but problems. The hooter broke, the boot broke (eventually replaced), the lights have blown twice — both times I had to pay out of my own pocket — and the wipers didn’t even last one winter.

To make matters worse, there’s been a whistling and wind noise through the doors since day one. I’ve taken this car in over and over again, and every single time I’m told, “It’s fixed.” It’s not. The problem is still there — almost a year later!

Now they’ve admitted they don’t know how to fix it after wasting my time repeatedly. They saying its a characteristic of the car! WTH so the car characteristic is to be faulty.

This is absolutely unacceptable. I paid for a new car, not a defective one that spends its life in the workshop. I honestly feel ****med. Chery’s customer service and dealer support are a complete disgrace.

Buyers, be warned — they will happily take your money, sell you a faulty car, and then do nothing to fix it.
