Serious Concerns Regarding Vehicle Quality and Service at Chery and CMH
I have serious concerns regarding the condition and reliability of the vehicles I’ve purchased from your CMH dealership.
In October 2023, I purchased a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. Within just nine months, the vehicle left me stranded twice at night due to breakdowns. It then sat in the CMH Fourways workshop for two months, with the team unable to diagnose the issue. This ongoing ordeal caused me significant stress and anxiety, for which I am now on medication. Ultimately, I reluctantly agreed to purchase a new vehicle, effectively losing the 13 months of payments I had already made on the previous car, only to start over financially.
On November 6, 2024, I picked up the new car in the afternoon, only to discover that it had a fault the same evening. Within 24 hours of ownership, the vehicle needed repairs, with the dealer principal claiming that a fuse had gone out and that “a fuse can go off at any time.” This kind of nonchalance is deeply disappointing and reflects a lack of care and respect for customer concerns. Imagine—a brand-new car requiring repairs within its first day.
After my experiences with CMH Fourways, I have lost all trust in the team there. The dealer principal's dismissive attitude, focusing only on his own convenience, demonstrates an alarming lack of respect for customers. My experience has left me disillusioned with Chery South Africa as a whole, which now appears more concerned with maximizing profit than with customer safety and satisfaction.
