R410,000 Trade-In Value Subsequently Refused – No Response to Formal Complaints

I am extremely disappointed with Chery SA's handling of my vehicle purchase dispute. I negotiated a Chery Tiggo Cross Elite with a trade-in of my Opel Mokka. The salesperson initially offered R405,000 and, after further discussion, confirmed in writing: “We giving R410 now.” The transaction then progressed with finance documentation reflecting a vehicle price of R416,890, deposit of R72,076.75, settlement of R337,923.25, R0 balloon and a first instalment of R5,111.15. I also confirmed that we could do the deal, and arrangements were discussed for delivery and taking my Mokka. The Dealer Principal subsequently refused to honour the R410,000 trade-in value. I have lodged complaints with the dealership, Chery SA and the SCW Group and have provided the relevant information. Unfortunately, I have received no meaningful response or resolution. I remain adamant that the transaction should proceed on the terms I was led to believe had been agreed. I have the WhatsApp correspondence and finance documentation supporting my position. I am posting this review because I have tried to resolve the matter directly and have received no satisfactory response.
