Over 2 year ongoing battle

Good Morning,

I would like to direct this email to anyone that can guide me, in the hope that he will be able to assist me with finalising my 2 year on going fight with Chery SA.

Briefly summarized I bought a brand new Chery J2 at the end of 2014 and since then I have had to have various mechanicals parts replaced, some of which have been life threatening, and all of them hadn’t only been replaced after me causing much arguing back and forth between myself and dealerships / Chery SA. As will be noted I am not able to attach all the various emails between myself and Chery due to it being the size of a book.

I have now been advised that the engine mounting of my vehicle is loose and could fall out at any moment while driving should it not be fixed.

My latest issue being that on Friday morning on the way to work my clutch gave in completely and was stuck on the highway in peak traffic. I managed to have it towed to a workshop where my quote is now sitting at R 14 000+ to have replaced.

I have phoned numerous of times as well as emailed Chery SA and as I was getting no-where with regards to any feedback on the outcome of my vehicle I then requested to speak to the CEO, Mr Jankerman, as I had received no response from him despite having copied him in on all of the emails but was informed by one of the agents that, “he is to busy to deal with customer complaints”.

Chery SA called and I spoke to a "Natalie" who told me my warranty for my vehicle has expired due to it not being serviced at 30 000km. Please be aware that my service light did not come on until after that which i then took to AJ Automan to be serviced, due to not being aware or informed that the next service was 30 000km by the Tokai branch where i also had the car serviced and not having the light come on either which i assume is due to a technical malfunction as even though the car has now been serviced the light remains on. Also note that I have had to take the car in on numerous times to the Tokai branch to have the same issues repaired over and over again. Also note that over the years I have had to go between the Toaki branch and Milnerton branch due to the place where I purchased the vehicle "disappearing" without notice as well as the staff whom sold me the vehicle. Therefore having no connection with the owner of the dealership and staff who sold the vehicle to me. Also keep in mind that when the vehicle was due for service I was in hospital and was unaware as well that the vehicle needed a 30 000km service. Due to the warranty now having fallen I have had to pay out of pocket all the numerous parts breaking away one at a time. I cannot afford a lawyer and this has been going on since the day of purchase. I cannot afford a technical test by AA of R1800 as I have been fighting about this car for to long now and will never get my money back. I have now taken action with going to the Ombudsmen as a resort to get assistance on this disaster vehicle, which does not get resolved overnight. I am not willing to spend more money than I have already had to spend on a vehicle that is a danger to my life.

This was my very first and only investment and has now become the biggest regret of my life.

This car is now not only a hazard to my OWN safety but that of other drivers on the road.

I am desperate for help as Chery SA has turned me away. As you will see I even sent my issues to Cape Talk.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give me in finalizing all the problem/s that I have experienced with my motor vehicle.

Thanks for reading.

.
