No courtesy vehicle or parts available
My vehicle was booked in at an Imperial branch Princess Crossing on 7 February 2015 for an assessment as it did not want to start.
The cost was initially R672.00.
After the vehicle was assessed it was found that the whole engine should be taken apart as the mechanics cannot find the fault on the electronics. This further assessment would cost me R3 500.00.
I agree to this as this is my only vehicle and I need to have it repaired. I was promised that should I accept any quotation, a courtesy vehicle could be arranged until it is fixed. On the 09th of March 2015 I received a quote of R17 111.96 indicating that I need an engine overhaul. I accepted the quote hoping to get a courtesy vehicle and tried to negotiate a pay off on this high amount. I was informed that I need to pay cash only before I can get my vehicle back and that I cannot get a courtesy car as all the vehicles are booked out. And that we can negotiate on discount when I collect my vehicle. To date I am still waiting for a courtesy car. Discount was not discussed yet and I was informed that a part from overseas is still outstanding. ETA is unknown .
