Gearbox Fault- I am to blame as the client
My 2022 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Elite, purchased preowned with warranty and maintenance plan until valid 2027. 1. 29-08-2025 to 11-10-2025 my vehicle was with Chery dealership in Middelburg for a Gearbox warning light. Gearbox was replaced which i was happy with the outcome but not the time taken. 2. 03-02-2026 my vehicle is now at Chery Alberton for the same warning light, and I am told my warranty is void because of bent pipes leading to the gearbox, my oil drained out. Impact damage is being given as a result, and I have not had any incident from the date of receiving my vehicle in October 2025 to February 2026. I have even asked what is needed to support this claim. 3. I am being asked by the senior customer care reps if the vehicle was in the same condition when it was worked on at Middelburg, my response was simple that they must ask they "Qualified technicians" as she referenced to me the fact that my warranty is void. I was never given any detailed condition or pictures except for the Job card that says the tests carried out and nothing was related to structural nor wiring faults. 4. I have logged my ombudsman case as the feedback and communication is beyond pathetic, you need to harass the people in relevant job positions to get feedback. 5. All I want is for Chery to fix my vehicle to the upmost standards and give me my car back, if I had to count from last year April 2025 to now, my vehicle has officially been with Chery 5-6 months which is unacceptable when I am paying for installments, insurance and also now need to cover e-hailing costs for all work related and personal activities which some you end up not doing because of the hassle of using e-hailing.
