DON'T PURCHASE A CHERY THEY USE SUB-STANDARD PARTS

<p>I bought a Chery Tiggo in 2014. It recently went in for it's 3rd service where I advised them of a rattling noise. My vehicle had just over 22000km on the clock. I was advised that the catalytic convertor needed replacing and that this is a common occurance for the Chery. The warranty didn't cover it as they say 1st year or 40000km which ever comes 1st. When I followed this up with warranty I was advised that these where the instructions from China. I then asked why when the vehicle is sold to you that this is not mentioned. Their response was that it is in the warranty booklet when the vehicle is collected. Well I say thats a bit to late, considering at this stage you have signed away on finance etc. They should be upfront from the begining. I then said if this part is a common part to go, then surely the dealership should make a point of changing it on the 1st year service, to be advised that its not convered if its not broken by 1st year. They proceeeded to give me a load of excuses, one being poor fuel. It just amazes me that all other vehicle brands have catalytic convertors and thisdoesn't happen to them. These vehicles are clearly made with sub-standard parts.</p>
