Chery Tigo inferior in body and service
I purchased the Chery Tigo 7 in March 2023. I noticed rust in the boot and above the windscreen in November 2024 and notified my salesperson. In Jan 2024 I called Chery Century City and they indicated that I must bring the vehicle in for an assessment. I did and met with the workshop manager who I must add is not the friendliest or most helpful person. Without listening to me he stated that it was not rust. I showed him the 3 spots and the paint coming off the front passenger door handle. He looked at it took pics and said to me I can leave, and that someone will contact me..it's been 3 weeks and nothing. I went onto the Chery customer complaints and sent a complaint and 2 weeks later, nothing. Before I purchased the car, I read the reviews that said that the customer service sucks. I can confirm that once Chery gets the deal, you are almost non-existant to them. The Chery Tigo 7 PRO is a beautiful car mechanically, however, the rust under 12 months is a major concern. I will not purchase another Chery especially from Chery Century City because they just don't care and after sales service is foreign. For a car to rust when it's under 9 months old, speaks volumes about the make and when you seek assistance and are ignored, speaks volumes about the people working for Chery. Truly disappointed by Chery and in particular, Chery Century City
